Kindergarten is the year during which many children learn the meaning of "going to school". The aim of the kindergarten program at Ferrisburgh Central School is to provide a strong foundation from which students can grow to become active participants in life-long learning. Through active participation in the kindergarten program at Ferrisburgh Central School, the children will:
 

• acquire social skills
• develop the ability to focus
• acquire pre-requisite skills for reading, writing, and math
• develop an awareness of their world and the world around them

 

• All areas of development are interrelated.
• Learning and growth are continuous.
• Each child is valued and respected.
